We believe philanthropy should do more than move money. It should move communities forward.
A Donor-Advised Fund with AQUME Foundation offers an opportunity to connect your generosity with a broader commitment to economic justice, community empowerment, and lasting philanthropic impact.
Together, we can expand the reach of community-centered giving, strengthen organizations working toward meaningful change, and help build a future in which philanthropic resources reflect the communities they are intended to serve.

A Donor-Advised Fund is a charitable giving account established through a sponsoring charitable organization. Donors contribute assets to the fund, may be eligible for a charitable tax deduction when the contribution is made, and subsequently recommend grants to eligible charitable organizations in accordance with the sponsoring organization's policies and applicable law.
A DAF offers a structured way to organize your charitable giving, support causes you care about, and plan your philanthropy over time.
Through a Donor-Advised Fund with AQUME Foundation, you can align your giving with a commitment to economic justice, Black philanthropy, community empowerment, and a more equitable future.

For generations, many communities of color have faced barriers to accessing philanthropic dollars, building wealth, and influencing the decisions that shape their futures. AQUME Foundation works to change that reality by centering the Black experience, investing in community-led solutions, and advancing opportunities for lasting economic justice.
When you partner with AQUME Foundation, your charitable giving can support a broader vision of community investment—one that recognizes the leadership, strengths, and aspirations of the people closest to the challenges being addressed.
Establishing a Donor-Advised Fund begins with a conversation about your philanthropic goals and the impact you want to create.
Connect with AQUME Foundation to discuss your charitable interests, giving goals, and vision for your philanthropic legacy.
Work with AQUME Foundation to establish a fund under a written agreement that outlines its purpose, administration, and applicable policies.
Make an eligible contribution to your fund, subject to AQUME Foundation's acceptance policies and applicable requirements. Depending on the circumstances, contributions may include cash or other approved assets.
Recommend grants to eligible charitable organizations that align with your philanthropic priorities. AQUME Foundation reviews and approves grant recommendations in accordance with its policies, charitable purposes, and applicable law. Donors advise; the Foundation retains final authority over distributions.
Continue contributing to your fund and recommending charitable grants over time, helping sustain the causes and community priorities that matter most to you.

Your Donor-Advised Fund can be an expression of your values and your vision for a stronger community. Subject to AQUME Foundation's policies and applicable law, your charitable grant recommendations may support eligible organizations and initiatives advancing good in our community.

A Donor-Advised Fund can be more than a charitable account. It can become a shared expression of your family's values and a meaningful way to introduce future generations to philanthropy.
Families can use their charitable giving to teach generosity, encourage thoughtful decision-making, and engage younger family members in conversations about community needs and social responsibility.
By involving loved ones in your philanthropic journey, you can help cultivate a tradition of giving that extends beyond individual contributions and creates a lasting commitment to community investment.
At AQUME Foundation, we believe generational wealth includes more than the assets we pass down. It also includes the values, opportunities, relationships, and community resources we help build along the way.
A Donor-Advised Fund may be worth exploring if you:
Want to organize your charitable giving under a long-term philanthropic strategy.
Prefer to contribute to a charitable fund and recommend grants over time.
Want to align your giving with economic justice, Black philanthropy, or community investment.
Are interested in involving family members in charitable decision-making.
Want to create a structured approach to giving that reflects your personal or family values.
Every donor's circumstances are different. AQUME Foundation can discuss your goals and explain its fund policies, contribution requirements, grantmaking procedures, and administrative arrangements so you can determine whether a Donor-Advised Fund is appropriate for you.
Whether you are exploring your first charitable fund or seeking a community-centered partner for your existing philanthropic strategy, AQUME Foundation welcomes the opportunity to connect with you.
